Henk Mulder, conductor

Henk Mulder was 9 years old when he started to make music at Batavia Drum Band
in the eastern part of Amsterdam. When he was 18 years old, he joined the Army
(he was drafted) for 18 month. He became a member of the Trumpet Corps of the
Royal Military Police.

After this period Henk applied to the Amsterdam police force with the aim of being a
menber of the Amstedam police band. After his first training and manning various
policestations. Henk succeeded in reaching this goal. During this period Henk
acquired several music diplomas, became an instructor and taught at various
drumbands in Amsterdam (including The Amsterdam Tram harmony orcherstra and
Drumfanfare Gibraltar.



Henk was and is a good friend of the accordion and had his first lessons at AVES.
After several years there was a change of conductors and Henk was asked
 - given his musical background - to become the new conductor.
Henk gladly accepted. Aves is proud to have such a dedicated leader.
And also regards to Henks dedicated wife Wanda.
